There are two types of cookery classes available during your stay at White House Farm. The first is a one to one cookery class with a fully qualified chef, the second being a group/team cookery class allowing you to show off your skills to others.

One to One Class

The one to one class is an opportunity to learn new dishes and techniques, build your kitchen confidence, and impress your friends and family with your newly learned skills. You will have the chef’s attention for the whole time allowing you to get so much more done. Together you will plan the time to ensure you don’t feel pressured, there is always enough time to learn what you want, and you end the session feeling relaxed and confident. The service is unique, combining professional cookery skills with subtle coaching techniques.

The class is priced per hour with a preparation charge added on. The prices do change depending on the time of year.

Group Class

Team working skills can be learned and reinforced in a kitchen environment, cooking together as a team: planning, organisation, time management, communication, negotiation, task allocation, coordination, support, leadership, working with strengths and weaknesses, and synergy are all skills covered in the everyday process of preparing a meal.

In addition the setting and achievement of goals together in such an environment can help bring teams closer together. Exercises and challenges can be set which will not only promote the above qualities, but teams can be encouraged to react to change, deal with issues and problems, and learn to be flexible together through carefully planned interruptions to the cookery schedule.

Creative exercises can also be planned, to encourage teams to think and brainstorm together.

Exercises in the class can be designed so that teams work together, or are pitted against each other competitively. All the exercises are designed to be fun, and to give everyone involved a sense of achievement, not to mention a delicious meal at the end of the session.

Again, the prices of the group class may change depending on the time of year you take part.
