Many people come to White House Farm to simply chill out and enjoy the house, explore the grounds and the local area. However, for the more active we can organise a vast range of events for you.

The facilities at White House Farm are extensive and Wickham Bishops has been designated as an area of natural beauty. There are a whole range of activities that can be arranged for you to enjoy, whether you are a private party celebrating a specific event or a company looking to arrange a corporate event, White House Farm can accommodate your requirements.

The following activities can be arranged for a half day, full day or a mix and match of events can be arranged around what you want to do.

Shooting Events

We can offer a range of shooting options at White House Farm from single days to a full week. The farm offers 17 acres of woodland and a 2 acre lake with over 25 acres of fruit orchard, in all about 66 acres of land for your exclusive use. This allows a variety of shooting options including rabbit, pigeon, duck and wild birds and animals.

Rough Day Shooting.

All guns must be insured and each person must have a gun license. Guns, cartridges and equipment are available to hire.

We can also offer shooting packages for up to 6 days, which includes rough shooting, pigeon shooting and evening flights at different venues close to White House Farm. These packages also include all transport to and from shooting.

The seasons for shooting are as follows:

Duck Season 1st September to 31st January

Game Shooting 1st October to 1st February

Pigeon Shooting is available all year round

Clay Pigeon Shooting can also be arranged, where guns and equipment will be provided.

Cookery Classes and Days

The day runs from 9.30am to mid-afternoon, with breaks for coffee and lunch. You will learn a range of themed dishes in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

The aim is to give you an enjoyable experience, whilst you learn to cook some new and innovative dishes that you will feel confident to cook in the comfort of your own kitchen. Click here for more info on Cookery Classes

Hot Air Ballooning

Countryside Balloons is the longest flying balloon operator in Essex. For a experience of a lifetime enjoy a hot air balloon ride. Each year they consistently provide a service second to none. The balloons take up to 12 people and drift effortlessly along, watching villages and countryside unfold beneath you.

Cocktail Making

Cocktail Master class, Cocktail Classes or Cocktail Clinic as they are called is a great way of entertaining and having a fun evening. We can arrange for a mobile company to come to White House Farm and show you how to make fantastic cocktails.

Its a really fun, interactive activity that can instantly get the whole party to relax . Not all cocktails include alcohol, if some of your party do not drink they can cater for non-alcoholic cocktails for those guests so we make sure everyone is involved, helping them mix up some fantastic fresh fruit mocktails.

Wine Tasting Evenings

The evening can be arranged to suit your requirements and you will be welcomed with a glass of fizz, but here is idea of a typical evening:

* The wine expert will then present six wines for tasting and discussion.
* The event would last about 1½ hours, and the wine expert will supply all the wines, tasting glasses as well as tasting notes.
* Maximum number of 15 people and the total cost would depend on the number of people and the selected wines.
