The reserve is set on around 1200 acres so can keep you entertained for along time.
There is also Bourne Mill is a 16th century water mill built from stone, set beside a picturesque stream. If you have time there is even the Natural History Museum and focuses in on the history of Colchester and the natural heritage of north east Essex. This is an ideal visit if you are into you wildlife.
